We offer beginner surf lessons and intermediate surf lessons in small groups or private, guided by local instructors who know the waves of Las Palmas and La Cicer inside out. IMPORTANT: Throughout the year, there’s a 95% chance we can hold the surf lessons, but sometimes the school may have to cancel a class without prior notice because the weather can change suddenly, and we can’t predict it. This means that when you arrive at the school at your lesson time, your class might be canceled by the school. In these cases, there are no refunds!

Classes can be canceled for reasons like waves being too big, jellyfish, polluted water, no waves, strong winds, yellow alerts, government recommendations, rain, or other unexpected situations.

If this happens, we won’t drive you to another spot on the island to catch waves. Instead, we’ll offer you an alternative activity such as special surfer training, paddle surfing, yoga, etc. On that day, we’ll suggest the alternative activity when you arrive at the surf school.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which days are the classes?

✔️ Classes usually run from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

✔️ There’s no fixed start day for the classes, so you can choose the day you want to begin. However, as a general rule, it’s best to start on Mondays. If you join a beginner group that has already started before your arrival, you will receive special attention on the first day apart from the group to help you adapt as quickly as possible.

✔️ For more motivated surfers or those with better physical condition, we offer an intensive course of 4 hours per day—2 hours in the morning session and 2 hours in the afternoon session.

✔️ Our classes take place at Las Canteras Beach, in the “La Cicer” area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. We do not travel to other spots.

How is the surf lessons structured?

✔️ For beginners, surf classes consist of preparation + warm-up (30 min) + practice in the water (1 hour 15 min) + stretching (15 min). Times are approximate depending on the session.

✔️ Our classes take place at Las Canteras Beach; we do not drive to other spots on the island.

What do I need to bring for the class?

✔️ Swimsuit / bikini

✔️ Sunscreen

✔️ Towel

✔️ Print, read, and sign the “Liability Waiver” document by clicking here and attach it to your confirmation email.

Where do I keep my stuff while the class is happening?

✔️ We have lockers and changing rooms where you can change before and after the classes. Your belongings will stay at the school during the class, so don’t worry.

What time should I arrive for the class?

✔️ Only 5 minutes before the class start time. We open the school exactly at the session start time.
